Oxidative stress, a condition in which reacting oxygen species are produced at a higher level  than the antioxidants, is considered as one of the main factors involved in the idiopathic male infertility [1].

Situation and needs linked to masculine infertility.

For 20 to 70% of the cases, not being able to conceive a child is due to male infertility [2]. About
30 million men are thought to be concerned worldwide [2].  In 25% of the cases, idiopathic infertility is diagnosed.

Classical examination of sperm quality according to WHO criteria has limitations in differentiating fertile from non-fertile men. Up to 40% of infertile men show results in the acceptable range.
