Real-time PCR for the specific detection of additional clinically relevant dermatophytes as a supplement to Mix 1 of the EurobioPlex DermaScreen EBX-073. This test is the first commercial assay to provide specific detection of Trichophyton indotineae, which exhibits increased terbinafine resistance. This enables tailored treatment.
Conventional real-time PCR (approx. 65 minutes) with evaluation based on Ct values, no melting curve analysis!
Test panels are compatible with Proficiency Test 492 (INSTAND e.V.) and RfB.
Validated cyclers: CFX96™/Opus (Bio-Rad), QuantStudio™ 5/7 (Thermo Fisher Scientific), LightCycler® 480 II (Roche), MIC (BMS)
