Qualitative real-time multiplex PCR for the universal detection of nearly all dermatophytes and the specific detection of T. rubrum, T. interdigitale, C. albicans, C. parapsilosis, & S. brevicaulis.

The EurobioPlex DermaScreen test system enables the molecular detection of dermatophyte DNA in skin, hair and nail samples within approximately 2 hours in two test steps. In the first step, the dermatophyte DNA is extracted from the sample within 20 minutes. In the second step, the extracted DNA is amplified in a real-time PCR cycler. The results are evaluated on a PC.
