Intended use

Endostatin, a 20kDa C-terminal proteolytic fragment of collagen XVIII, inhibits endothelial proliferation, angiogenesis and the growth of many primary and metastatic tumors. Most studies demonstrate increased levels of Endostatin in various types of cancer; sometimes even with prognostic value of serum Endostatin. Due to increased concentrations Endostatin may also become an important marker for progressive microvascular renal disease in patients with chronic kidney disease.

Clinical significance :

  • Microvascular injury, chronic kidney disease; Atherosclerosis
  • Myocardial and brain Ischemia
  • Cancer
