Sample preparation

Samples should be collected without  hemolysis. Allow the blood to clot, separate serum by centrifugation and test samples within 2 hours.
Serum is stable for 3 days at room temperature, 5 days at 2 – 8 °C, 2 years at -20 °C.
Longer storage at -80°C. Maximum 3 freeze- and thaw cycles.

Product informations

Sclerostin is the protein product of the SOST gene and inhibits bone formation by regulating osteoblast function and promoting osteoblast apoptosis. Reduced expression of sclerostin can result in van Buchem disease, while a complete absence of Sclerostin results in Sclerosteosis. Our Human Sclerostin High Sensitivity (HS)ELISA is designed for the measurement of Sclerostin in human serum, plasma and cell culture (osteocytes and chondrocytes).
