Intended use	Chemically modified pyridinoline (acetylated PYD) is designed for the determination of recoveries of the collagen crosslinks, pyridinoline (PYD) and deoxypyridinoline (DPD), in the pre-treatment of the samples prior to analysis by HPLC. The recovery of PYD and DPD after the pre-treatment is variable depending on laboratory conditions. For the determination of the absolute concentration of PYD and DPD in biological fluids is pre treatment before HPLC-analysis required.
